A strategic hub in the area for research and development

The Ravenna Technopole
is deeply embedded in the local community, with activities spread across three sites:

  • The Science Centre and the Ex Asili site of the University of Ravenna campus, which primarily address Energy, the Environment and the Nautical sector.
  • The Torricelli Science and Technology Park in Faenza, which focuses on Innovative and Composite Materials and Restoration
  • The Environment, Energy and Marine Research Centre of Marina di Ravenna

Each centre is designed to bring research and business together, offering technology‑transfer services that connect local companies with leading researchers, open the door to outstanding scientific expertise, and provide access to state‑of‑the‑art technological equipment for the development of innovative projects.

Within the Ravenna Technopole network there are:

  • 18 Research Groups affiliated with 8 Laboratories accredited to the High Technology Network
  • 2 Innovation centres: Romagna Tech and CIFLA (managing body of the Technopole since 2018)
  • 2 Incubators: the Torricelli Incubator and Ravenna InnovationLAB

The Technopole’s spaces include teaching labs, meeting rooms and multifunctional facilities, designed to bring supply and demand together, promote the spread of scientific knowledge, and foster the growth and exchange of expertise within the community.
