Industrial research laboratory, innovation centre and operator of the Torricelli incubator

Romagna Tech is a research laboratory and innovation centre of the High Technology Network of the Emilia-Romagna region, as well as a research and technology transfer body pursuant to EC Regulation No 651/2014.

It promotes, accelerates and generates technological innovation processes, fostering dialogue and interaction between research, enterprise and the local area through its branches in Forlì, Faenza and Cesena. Its approach focuses on digital transformation and technology transfer, delivering highly tailored solutions that range from strategic planning to technical execution.

Romagna Tech manages three business incubators in the Romagna region: the Torricelli Incubator in Faenza, U-Start in Bassa Romagna and the Laboratorio Aperto Casa Bufalini in Cesena.

MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITY

  • Strategic Innovation, including needs analysis, feasibility studies, R&I plans, and project design and management.
  • Development of technological solutions, from scouting to industrialisation, with a focus on intellectual property.
  • Prototyping and eco-design, by means of a workshop dedicated to mechanical design, 3D printing and small batch production.
  • Physical and virtual incubation, with business planning services, access to furnished premises, networking and open innovation programmes.
